Boss Reclamation is a limited liability company that specializes in the removal of invasive non-native trees (phreatophytes). Boss uses an innovative and unique mechanical root crown extraction process that since its inception in 2001 has proven to be the most effective method to control salt cedar and Russian trees, in terms of cost and results. You read that right, even when compared to applying Arsenal® with aircraft the Boss root crown extraction process is more cost effective, provides immediate recovery of water resources, does not involve the use of large volumes of herbicide (that in some cases have permanent environmental impacts), and gives you the most effective results. Boss possesses a modern fleet of medium-sized excavators, equipped with our specialized extraction tool, and extreme-duty grinders to get the job done fast and get it done right. There is little terrain in the Western Hemisphere that Boss's equipment cannot handle or has not already handled. In addition to the versatility of our machines, they are equipped to leave the minutest environmental footprint as possible. Our largest machine puts a maximum of 8 p.s.i on the ground allowing Boss to work in environmentally sensitive places.

            Led by partners Rick Evans of Ruidoso, NM and Luke Thompson of Canyon, TX, Boss has mechanically removed trees on over 10,000 acres of land characterized by dense stands of tamarisk, salt cedar, Russian olive, western cedar, mesquite, piñon pine, and other types of invasive trees and brush. Our work has been studied and documented by our clients and independent sources that will confirm that our root crown extraction process is consistently achieving over 90% mortality in salt cedar and Russian olive trees upon initial extraction. To date Boss Reclamation LLC has completed all awarded projects for various state, local, and federal agencies ahead of schedule and without delays or cost overruns or disputes with its clients. Based in New Mexico and Texas, Boss has operations in Wyoming and Arizona and has the flexibility to operate in other states upon request.
